#219: World Premiere of the First Great Nationwide Kiss-In Promotional Video

KissInPromo

Ladies and gentlemen, allow me to introduce… the first promotional video for the Great Nationwide Kiss-In.

Thanks to all the folks who donated or found pictures for us to use, including my good buddy and fellow Kiss-In coordinator David Badash, and the darling and extraordinary Willow Witte. I also want to give special props to my amazing friend Erin Olson who, once I selected the pics we would use and wrote up the script, used his creative and technical wizardry to put it all together. BIG hugs this morning to David, Willow, and Erin.

And now, without further ado… “Kiss Me”

This movie requires Adobe Flash for playback.

EDIT, 3 August 2009, 14h10: PLEASE do not attempt to upload this to YouTube. They will not accept it because of the music – which, as you know, is half the video. If you want to share this with people, you can either use the embed code, which is right there on the video player, or publish the link to this page in Facebook. Again, do NOT attempt to upload this to YouTube. It will not work, anyway… thanks!

  1. I like the video. The only thing that would make it stronger is if you put the couples’ names and where there from. It would give it a more powerful feel, in the sense that people would be able to see that these are real people, living real lives, in real places. Just a thought.

    Best to you,

  7. Awesome video! I live in Salt Lake City and went to one of the kiss-in’s here (and got to witness a local blogger interviewing two women who had been married in their own eyes and hearts if not in those of the law or the church for 41 years!) but I’m going to be near Atlanta for the national kiss in–so hopefully I can go to the one there!

    Thanks for caring!

  14. [...] The group has launched a video today that shows just how powerful a simple kiss can be. Straight, gay, black, white, young, old…it doesn’t matter.  Everyone can participate in this nationwide campaign.  The details?  August 15, 2009, at 2:00pm EST.  See if your city is hosting a “Great Nationwide Kiss-In Event” here, and if they’re not, please consider starting one.  Details on how to start one (which means being provided with some excellent resources from campaign organizers) can be found on the group’s Facebook page. 15. In 2006 Octavio Acuña kissed with his boyfriend in a public park in Querètaro, Mèxico. Later six police cars arrived and try to put them in jail, he excused himself and they let them free, the next day he went to human rights, they didn’t listen, few days later peopel sended by the policeman arrived to Octavios condom store and killed him with a knife.

  16. Great message and great video!!

  17. maybe it’s just me, but this seems heavily weighted toward lesbians kissing. What about the rest of the LGBT community?

  18. I am wondering if and how these videos can be posted on our fb sites.
